WHAT HAPPENED?
It appeared as though the home team would suffer its first loss at Anfield since February but Wataru Endo and Trent Alexander-Arnold stole the win, making it their 11th straight home victory of the season. The Reds went down 3-2 after Bobby De Cordova-Reid scored in the 80th minute with Kenny Tete having brought the sides level before half-time.

"I don't think before the game many people would have thought Liverpool v Fulham would be a game they would never forget, but…..you're welcome!" said the German in the post-match press conference [via Neil Jones on X].

THE BIGGER PICTURE
The late and dramatic win helped Liverpool jump ahead of Manchester City who drew on Sunday evening and also build a slight gap to Ange Postecoglou's Tottenham Hotspur. They now sit in second place in the league only behind Mikel Arteta's Arsenal who currently hold a two-point lead on the Reds.
