WHAT HAPPENED?
The former Barcelona duo combined brilliantly for Inter Miami's second goal in the 60th minute as they clinched a narrow win over Atlanta United in the first match of their MLS 2024 play-offs Round One encounter. Around the hour mark, Messi set up a perfect ball for Alba who then took a touch and found the back of the net with a stunning shot from more than 25 yards away from the goal.

He scored five times and provided one assist in October and played an important role in the Herons winning their first-ever MLS Supporters' Shield by breaking the points record.
